My personsal "elevator pitch":
I'm a lover of Christ, a military wife, a homeschooling mom, and aspiring writer. I find myself the teacher and the student, the encourager and the fighter. And when He sees fit...a light in the darkness. And the rest of it... I grew up in an ordinary family--two parents, two sisters, and a dog named Grover. Of course, ordinary to me was being a military brat. My dad did a tour in Iraq the first time around, and then a tour in Korea. As a family we've been here and there--Maryland, Kansas, Kentucky, even Germany. So is it any wonder that I grew up to marry a soldier? My husband and I tied the knot on June 21, 2003 (first day of summer!). Three years later we welcomed our first daughter, followed less than a year later by another girl. Then in summer 2010, we were blessed with a son only days before our anniversary. The most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. Over the years, I've struggled, fallen away, and came back more times than I care to count. Since marrying a soldier, though, life has forced me to depend on God or sacrifice my sanity. I am in love with my Savior and strive to show His light to those around me. In my writing, I seek to show the world a faith without limitations. I think too often we put God in a little box with human restraints, instead of opening our eyes to the possibilities. Our God is a supernatural being, and nothing is beyond Him. So we should dream our dreams and hope without fail, because our God is bigger than this world!
