We’re In!

That’s right, folks, it’s official. My family has finally moved into our very own house. *happy monkey dance*

This has been a long time coming, and I cannot tell you how happy my family is. My kids honestly do not know what to do with all the space that we have. They are used to a very small area to play in (unless they were outside), and here they have several rooms to play in. They are constantly running back and forth.

It has been an insane 10 days. I pretty much unpacked the house on my own, while my husband did the man thing and put everything together for me. We got rid of a bunch of stuff before we moved from Hawaii, so we had to go out and get some new stuff as well. It’s always fun shopping for new stuff. I love the feel of turning a house into a home. We didn’t get a chance to go through everything before we moved, so I spent a good deal of time decluttering the boxes. I think we got rid of about 7-8 boxes of stuff. Woohoo!

It took almost a week to get our TV and internet, but we have that now, too.

The only 2 rooms left to put together are the schoolroom and my husband’s man cave. Hubby is responsible for his room, though, I ain’t touching it! The schoolroom still has a couple of boxes in it, and I still need to hand stuff on the walls. That room also has my sewing/craft closet, which still needs to be organized. I was supposed to do that today, but well, I’m writing instead. I know, I’m such a procrastinator! It doesn’t help that I was sick for the last three days–can’t get out of bed sick. It was not fun at all!

Anyway, I just wanted to give you an update, let you know that I hadn’t fallen off the edge of the earth. I have some exciting stuff coming up on the blog–more Character Tour posts, a new project for Wednesdays, and more on the power of prayer! I hope you’ll join me in the coming weeks as we cruise along the road of life. Have a fabulous week!
