Some VERY Special Guests

On Wednesday, I promised a big announcement on Friday. And let me tell ya, I’m excited!

I’m in the process of making some changes to my blog in light of my recommitment to writing, as well as my venture into freelance editing. You can see the new tabs at the top. There’s nothing under them yet, but there will be! If you don’t write, or aren’t looking for an editor, have no fear. My blog is not aimed at writers or the like specfiically (though I hope that they would still find something useful and heart-changing here). Instead, my focus is shifting to reflect my tagline a bit better.

Where the light pierces the darkness…

Standing out.

Being who God created us to be.

Not being afraid of the darkness.

Passion and purpose.

Life Out Loud.

This world is a changing, but God is the same. His light still shines for all to see, if we open our eyes.

In light of all this, I am still a writer. And I still love books. What do I love about both real life and fiction?

Characters!

So, it is my joy to announce that starting next Friday, I am bringing back Character Tour!

Okay, technically it has a new name (I’m thinking–Spotlight On!–what do you think?), but it’s the same thing. Authors are writing guest posts as their characters! What’s more, many of them are giving away a copy of their books. Oh yeah, you know you’re heart just flip flopped!

Now, not all of them are giving books away, but it’s always fascinating just to read more about characters. It’s half the reason I bought books the six months that I hosted this before. Now, I think Character Tour (or Spotlight On!) will be a permanent spot on my blog. I put the call out to writer friends, and let me tell ya, the response was overwhelming. I’m already pretty much booked until March! How awesome is that?

You know, actually, I’m not sure I like Spotlight On! as a title for the Characters Tour either…anyone want to throw out some suggestions. My poor creative brain is fried!

Anyway, make sure to tune in next Friday for our first guest…should be interesting.
