In My Life

So, as most of you know, things have been pretty crazy around here. No, we’re not at the mercy of crazy storms or horrific fires, but we’ve had our own issues lately. From ER visits, to household issues to the upcoming move–life has been a bit hectic. Hence, my reason for sporatic postings lately. Anyway, I thought I’d catch you up a little.

First of all, things are finally falling into place for our move. We leave in 3 weeks! That’s right we’ll leave the sunny beaches of Hawaii to return to the mainland (in the midst of one of the hottest summers). My husband has started applying for jobs, but hasn’t heard from anyone yet. Luckily, he doesn’t officially get out of the Army until end of September so there’s time!

Our girls are excited to see their grandparents, but also because they know once we get our own house, my sister and her kids will be moving in with us. We’re all pretty psyched about that (my sister’s kids are pretty much the same age as mine).

We have a lot of changes happening in the next couple of months–most are good, but scary at the same time. Living as a civilian will be something pretty new for me–I’ve only not been a military dependent for about 2 years in my life. This is going to be a whole new lifestyle for me. Theoretically, I could be in ONE place for the rest of my life. Scary, huh? Well, at least I can rearrange my furniture every six months.

No matter what, though, I know I have the love and support of my family and friends. I know that I have a mighty God that goes before me, a loving God that will carry me, and a protective God that will not give me more than I can handle. Hallelujah!

This week, you can see my call for prayer over at The New Authors Fellowship.
