As most of you know, I’ve been seeking to change a lot of my lifestyle, from diet/exerise to my schedule. Part of my 3in30 goals has been to get back on my Diabetes diet and exercise program…or rather to develop one and stick to it.
So…
After a wonderful conversation with my new fitness counselor, I’ve got the beginning steps of a new program. Her number one thing that she wanted me to do (besides setting my goals) was to create an account on SparkPeople.
If you haven’t heard of them, SparkPeople is a total fitness and nutrition website that provides a supportive community, as well as experts and trackers to help make your health goals a reality. So far, in the hour or so I spent exploring the sight, I’ve found that it has a lot to offer, esp for someone like me. I need that extra support and accountability, and it’s a convenient place to keep track of my daily food intake and exercise benefits.
So, if you’re looking to make some changes to your diet and exercise program, feel free to join me in this journey to better health.
Also new to me this week is a website that is very addictive…and for that reason, I’ve only been on it twice this week. Oh, the hours I could waste their–but what an inspiration! If you have a few moments, you should checkout Pinterest. Wow…just wow! I’m not even going to bother trying to explain this site to you, you just have to go visit. I will say that there is a little something for everyone, no matter your interests–be it writing, reading, crafts, kids, interior decorating, baking…yeah, you’ll find it all!
Those are my new hangouts. Of course, you can stilll find me at all my old haunts. Now I’m heading into a four day weekend with my hubby. We have a bit of early “fall cleaning” before things get too hectic around here.
Spread the joy!

I love SparkPeople too! That have a special section for pregnant/nursing moms that is amazing! I used immediately after having Charlotte to ensure that I was getting the correct nutrients and not overeating (so that I could lose some of that baby fat). Pinterest sounds great, but I am afraid that I might waste too much time too!
