B90Days and 3in30 Update

Weekend Fun!

Happy Monday!

Who’s ready for a new week?

I like Mondays more than most. They’re a reminder that I can start–last week may have been crazy, but I’m blessed to have the chance to try again. I actually did pretty good last week considering, but I know that I can do better. That applies to all areas of my life.

So, the question is–how am I doing on my goals?

1. As many of you know, I decided to undertake a big challenge back in July–the Bible in 90 Days challenge. Whew! Let me just say that I am about a week behind, BUT I have been reading my Bible more consistently than I ever has before. I haven’t always had the opportunity to finish a whole day’s reading–however, I have read something just about every day. THAT is a step up!

My goal over the next two weeks is to catch up. I don’t know if it’ll work with everything else I have to do, but I figure if it’s important to me, I’ll find a way to make it work. Right?

2. I had to change my writing goal for the month. Originally it was to finish The Impossible Choice. However, after some reflection (and some writer’s block), I decided to go back and edit Dividing Spirits. This is more important at the moment. Although, as soon as I finish edits, I’m going right back to The Impossible Choice! Really…I am. Should be before the end of the month if all goes well!

3. Not much happened with my diabetes diet/exercise last week. Unexpected craziness kept even the simplest of tasks…well, impossible. However, I did get a lot of unexpected exercise. This week, though, I have a doctor appointment for my diabetes and a phone consultation for my exercise program. I hope those will help me set some goals and direction.

So, that’s pretty much it. I am getting better with my schedule and stuff, which will help with the above 3 goals.

What’s something that you’ve been slacking on that you know you need to pick back up?

    You are making progress :)

I am a little behind on the readings as well. I have a hard time staying focused on the dryer passages. Ahem.

I love Mondays too for the exact same reason! I am impressed that you are taking the B90 challenge (I am impressed by all of you ladies that are doing it!). What a huge undertaking! Congrats on making progress on bible reading! I hope that you have a fabulous week! :)

Aurie–I know exactly what you mean. When I tried this back in April, Connor got sick about halfway through that stuff, which is one of the reasons it was so easy to fall off.

Marla–Thank you! Now, the other parts of Monday I’m not so fond of, just the part about starting over and new beginnings. :)

You can do the Bible in 90Days! Just keep pushing!
